Waterborne TRANSPARENT painting cycle for exterior (windows and doors)
– Preparation of the support with IDROSIV, waterborne impregnant LWW range:
o LWW IDROSIV ready to use. Application by dip, by brush or flow-coating.
Choose the right series of LWW according with the type of wood as described in the related Technical Data Sheet.
– About 4-6 hours later light sanding with 280-320 grain paper or scotch-brite, application of 1 coat of intermediate transparent waterborne sealer.
o LWY100 – IDROVER – waterborne transparent intermediate. Application by spray with airmix or airless pump.
– About 4-6 hours later, or the day after, once sanded with 280-320 grain abrasive paper:
– Application of tixotropic top-coat
o LWY013 – transparent waterborne tixotropic top-coat, dil. 10% max with LZD786. Application by spray with airless pump.
Alternative cycle: faster and good quality
– Preparation of the support with IDROSIV, waterborne impregnant LWW range:
o LWW IDROSIV ready to use. Application by dip, by brush or flow-coating.
Choose the right series of LWW according with the type of wood as described in the related Technical Data Sheet.
– About 4-6 hours later, or the day after, once sanded with 280-320 grain abrasive paper:
– Application of tixotropic top-coat
o LWY013 – transparent waterborne tixotropic top-coat, dil. 10% max with LZD786. Application by spray with airless pump: 2 coats spaced out by about 3-4 hours without intermediate sanding.
